- You may want to check out page 40 in the January 1996 issue of Windows
- NT Magazine. Apparently, it was proven by Claude Shannon in his laws
- of information theory that the maximum data rate of voice-grade phone
- lines is about 30Kbps. I've searched around for Shannon's work in
- this area but so far I've been unsuccessful. If anyone could point us
- in the right direction...
